Day-Tripper Tuesday — What’s Happening?

Day-Tripper Tuesday is the most intensive, jam-packed day of the Rottnest Retreat and will include workshops with interstate publishers Ana Vivas (Publisher, Hardie Grant Egmont), Miriam Rosenbloom (Publisher, Scribble) and Fremantle Press Publisher, Cate Sutherland. Panel discussions, Q&A sessions an illustrator portfolio showcase and more!

Day-Trippers will have access to our guest publishers 30-day manuscript and portfolio submission window following the retreat. Passwords and submission guidelines will be given to you on the day.

The cost for this event is $85 and covers admission to all Rottnest Retreat events for the day. It does not cover your return ferry ticket or meals.

Getting to Rottnest

When booking your ferry, please ensure you are on the FIRST ferry into Rottnest and on the LAST ferry out so as not to miss any of the day’s activities.

At the time of putting this program together, the most suitable ferries in and out of Rottnest for were:

Rottnest Express Tuesday June 11:
First ferry from B Shed, Fremantle 7:30 am – Arrives Rottnest 8:00 am
Last Ferry from Rottnest 4:30 pm – Arrives B Shed, Fremantle 5:00 pm

Sealink have a later ferry leaving Tuesday June 11:
Last ferry from Rottnest 5:55 pm – Arrives B Shed, Fremantle 6:30 pm

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the event will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made after this date will not receive a refund.
