In partnership with SCBWI, Larrikin House is running a picture book competition and a graphic novel competition, open only to Australian & NZ SCBWI members. Competition entries close 1 July 2022.
The Larrikin House Picture Book Competition offers the chance to win a one on one manuscript feedback session with publisher James Layton, as well as the chance to secure a publishing contract with Larrikin House. Applicants are required to submit an original 250-500 word picture book manuscript with edgy humour and quirk.

The Larrikin House Graphic Novel Competition offers the chance to win a one on one manuscript feedback session with publisher James Layton, as well as the chance to secure a publishing contract with Larrikin House. Applicants are required to submit the first 1000 words of an original graphic novel manuscript with edgy humour and quirk. Applicants may enter individually or as part of an author/ illustrator team.
